Tumbling Levels

 

For the South West Championships:

1. SW Club Levels - runs as below

2. SW NDP - runs as below

3. SW SILVER - SW GOLD - see bottom of page

4. Whipping gymnasts born 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010 (only these years) should try for FIG development level - tailor-made tumbles (ask Francis)

Tumble 1 has to be round off - six flics - straight back

Tumble 2 round off - flics and whips - tuck back

Tumble 3 round off - flics and whips - pike back or straight back half twist

 

CLUB LEVELS

Club Level 1: First Tumble

Forward roll, straight jump, forward roll, tuck jump, forward roll, jump half turn with arms to chest

Club Level 1: Second Tumble

Cartwheel from a standing sideways start, cartwheel, cartwheel to finish facing sideways

Club Level 1: Third Tumble

Straight jump walk out from a standing start, cartwheel quarter turn in, fall to dish onto mat, hold dish for 5 secs.

Club Level 2: First Tumble

Straight jump walkout from a standing start on the floor, cartwheel, chasse, caretwheel, chassee, cartwheel

Club Level 2: Second Tumble

Straight jump walkout from a standing start on the floor, cartwheel, round off, straight jump, backward roll.

Club Level 2: Third Tumble

Straihg jump walkout from a standing start on the floor, round off, jump to dish onto mat, hold dish for 5 secs.

Club Level 3: First Tumble

Straight jump walk out from a standing start on the floor, cartwheel, chassee, round off, jump half turn with arms to chest

Club Level 3: Second Tumble

Straight jump walkout from a standing start on the floor, round off, jump half turn walk out, roundoff, straight jump

Club Level 3: Third Tumble

Straight jump walk out from a standing start on the floor, round off, flic, jump to dish onto mat, hold dish for 5 secs

Club Level 4: First Tumble

Round off, flic, jump half turn with arms to chest

Club Level 4: Second Tumble

Handspring, straight jump walk out, round off, straight jump

Club Level 4: Third Tumble

Straight jump walkout from a standing start on the floor, round off, flic, flic, jump to dish onto mat and hold for 5 secs.

 

NDP LEVELS

National Level 1: First Tumble

Roundoff - flic - flic - jump half turn - wait for 3 secs - stretched jump - round off - flic - flic stretched jump

National Level 1: Second Tumble

Round off - flic - flic -flic -flic - straight jump

National Level 1: Third Tumble

Roundoff - flic - tuck

 

National Level 2: First Tumble

Round off - flic -flic - flic - flic - tuck back

National Level 2: Second Tumble

Roundoff - flic - whip - flic - flic - straight jump

National Level 2: Third Tumble

Roundoff - flic - pike

 

National Level 3: First Tumble

Round off - flic - flic - flic - flic - flic - flic - pike back

National Level 3: Second Tumble

Roundoff - flic - whip - flic - flic - tuck back

National Level 3: Third Tumble

Roundoff - flic - straight back

 

SW SILVER

Tumble 1: Either

Roundoff - flic - flic - jump half turn - wait for 3 secs - stretched jump - round off - flic - flic stretched jump

Round off - flic - flic - flic - flic - flic - flic - pike back

Tumble 2: Either

Round off - flic - flic -flic -flic - straight jump

Tumble 3:

Round off - flic - your best somersault

SW GOLD

*you do have to use a different somersault in each run
